Wow this is a great update.
Resume DVD or Bluray playback even after the disc has been removed? So playing movies takes up a lot of space in the PS3 then, right? Because it has to save all that content from the disc so if the disc is ejected, its got to play from the hard drive. But what about the LOADING TIMES because of that feature?

No it actually doesn’t save any of the video data on the hard drive. Think of it like a bookmark or a favorites tab. It saves your place on the disc, not the actual video.
So “load times” are a lot faster because you actually bypass all the introductory screens of your average DVD/BD.

I just looked up Blu-ray Profile 2.0 to find out what it is. Internet connectivity? Nice.
